Members of the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association (Unifor Local 5454) have ratified a two-year collective agreement with an 82% majority vote. The new collective agreement term will be April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2019. 89% of the membership cast ballots.
The new agreement, which was unanimously recommended by the 20-member bargaining team, calls for a 4% increase on salaries and Air Traffic Control premium, in each of the two years of the new contract, as well as containing other gains for controllers nationwide.
We thank the members for taking the time to vote and for ratifying this agreement. We also thank the entire contract committee for their hard work and dedication during the bargaining process.
