Press Release
Earlier this afternoon, CATCA issued a press release to Canadian media outlets about the safety risks due to service cuts that NAV Canada are currently attempting to implement. Today, President of the Union, Doug Best, will present these issues to the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities.
For Air Traffic Controllers, safety has always remained the top priority. NAV Canada’s current priorities are misplaced and have the ability to severely and negatively impact the future of airspace navigation services for all Canadians.
CATCA asks that all members continue to work in accordance with the collective agreement and operate in the professional manner for which Air Traffic Controllers have always been known for.
We will provide updates to the membership accordingly as new developments occur.
