Lewis Gottheil Retirement Announcement
Dear Members,
Please join the CATCA Executive Board (EB) in extending our best wishes to Lewis Gottheil, who has retired after seven years of service to CATCA as its Legal Counsel and Advisor.
As a founding member and Director of the CAW-Canada Legal Department, Mr. Gottheil appeared as counsel on behalf of the CAW for more than 25 years. He advanced and defended the Union’s legal interests before employment-related tribunals and all levels of superior and appellate courts.
Mr. Gottheil has been a respected resource on many issues faced by our Association and has been instrumental in providing superlative legal counsel to CATCA and assistance to the membership. Whether his aid was required in English or French, he was never without his notepad and many writing utensils. He forged strong relationships with our partners, which led to countless successful outcomes. CATCA has grown and become stronger thanks to Mr. Gottheil’s commitment to the Union’s mission and values.
The EB wishes to extend its sincerest gratitude to Mr. Gottheil for his many contributions to our present and future. CATCA thanks Mr. Gottheil for his years of dedicated service, and we wish him well in his retirement.
