RE: NCBAA Appointment to NAV Canada Board of Directors
Dear Members,
The NAV Canada Bargaining Agents Association (NCBAA) has announced that Mr. Peter Duffey will be appointed as one of its two nominee Directors to the NAV Canada Board of Directors (NCBAA announcement here). Mr. Duffey’s term will begin on January 7, 2021, at which time he will be replacing Mr. Umar Sheikh for the balance of Mr. Sheikh’s term. The term ends at the Annual Meeting of NAV Canada in 2022.
Mr. Duffey’s involvement and knowledge will be vital to the NAV Canada Board of Directors in deliberations regarding decisions that impact NAV Canada’s business. Mr. Duffey’s previous experience includes President and CEO of CATCA, Chair of the NCBAA, Co-Chair of the NCJC, and member of the Pension Committee. All of these combined make him a very suitable appointment to this position to employ his already vast knowledge of issues that need to be accounted for as a Member of the NAV Canada Board of Directors (Peter’s Resume here).
On behalf of CATCA and all our Members, we would like to congratulate Mr. Duffey on his newly appointed role, and we look forward to working with him in the near year.
In Solidarity,
Doug Best Scott Loder
President Executive Vice President
