The devastation in Fort McMurray is beyond imagination and the country is rallying behind its residents. Air Traffic Control in Fort McMurray has ceased and our tower is closed.
At CATCA, our 9 members have been evacuated, and unfortunately, we suspect at least one has lost their home to the fires. Thankfully, our members and their families are safe.
CATCA National Office is raising funds through Go Fund Me to help our Fort Mac brothers and sisters. Branches can collect donations and forward to National Office. The local Branch will guide us on how best to distribute the monies raised. Whatever you can donate will help them rebuild.
NAV Canada has kindly offered to match what we raise and we are currently coordinating a meeting with our members in Fort Mac to answer their questions and show our support.
Please keep our members and all citizens of Fort Mac in your thoughts. This will be a life changing-event for so many people.
